Touch of Joy
About Touch of Joy
This is the care arm of JLP that exemplifies one way to make a difference. Touch of Joy provides free medical care to indigent people in city slums and remote villages. This started in 2014. We have over this period provided free medical care, including surgeries, to over 10,000 people across Lagos, Kebbi, Niger, Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, Delta and Akwa Ibom states. Recently, we acquired a piece of land in Niger State to build a hospital in one of the rural communities. The idea of the Touch of Joy Hospitals (registered with the CAC) is to build 10-bed hospitals in rural communities where people either cannot access or afford medical care. Given the low level of education in the North, TOJ is also planning the roll out of Touch of Joy Schools in rural communities there.
